ABOUT US
For over 30 years of business, Quality Assurance Services, INC. (QAS) has grown significantly in number of physicists, has expanded our geographic presence throughout California, and has broadened our scope of practice to include the entire field of diagnostic imaging.
Alongside these developments, QAS has conscientiously maintained our commitment to serve our growing number of partners and to meet their ever-changing and increasing needs.
We strongly believe: "Quality is never an accident; it is always the result of intelligent effort."

Our Story
THEN

Our journey started in mid-1989 when Glenn Deacon and his wife Susan decided to strike out on their own and create Quality Assurance Services operating out of Reno, NV. In 1994 the company was reorganized as Quality Assurance Services, Inc in San Diego, California.

For the first few years Glenn was the physicist and Susan was the administrator. The company grew over time and in 1996 their son Russ joined the company as a second physicist. For the next several years QAS provided medical physics equipment testing mainly in San Diego and in Los Angeles. By 2004 QAS had grown substantially, and Shelley Becker joined the QAS team. Shelley’s extensive background in health physics and nuclear medicine allowed QAS to extend services to the nuclear medicine and PET communities. From that time onward, year after year, QAS has expanded its team to meet the increasing needs for diagnostic medical and health physics support services.
